It’s actually a sad story, but for many, it’s not easy to feel sorry for Mykhalio Mudryk. Brought to Chelsea for a wild €70 million in 2023, without success on the match scene. Where the will, speed and technique showed great potential, but without deliveries as expected. Then the Ukrainian player was caught with a positive doping test. The 25-year-old now shows he is back on the training field.

Mudryk has not played a game since the end of 2024, since then the Ukrainian has been suspended while the case has been ongoing, which it still is. Still, the 25-year-old shows he has no intention of giving up.

For this week, Mudryk himself has posted a video on social media, where he trains at Uxbridge FC’s training ground. The amateur club is in the seventh-best English division, and the club’s chairman, Mark Bantock, confirms Mudryk’s presence.

“He’s a football player, and when he comes, he plays football. So I guess he’s happy when he does,” Bantock told ESPN.

Uxbridge FC’s chairman does not want to elaborate on his relationship with Mudryk, but emphasizes that Mudryk enjoys training at the club’s facilities. If Mudryk ends up being convicted in the case, he could face up to four years of suspension.

At Uxbridge FC, it’s all about playing ball.
