Fulham are reportedly ready to make an attempt to sign Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, while also showing interest in winger Raheem Sterling.

Fulham, who for a long time were close to qualifying for games in Europe last season, suffered wear and tear problems throughout the season and ended up in 11th place in the Premier League. Manager Marco Silva has been promised a more robust squad in the autumn, something we have not seen any signs of so far.

Dewsbury-Hall on the way out

Dewsbury-Hall appears to be on his way away from Stamford Bridge just one year after he followed Enzo Maresca from Leicester City.

The 26-year-old was a regular part of Chelsea’s squad in the Conference League, but had to settle for just two Premier League starts last year. With stiff competition from Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernández, Romeo Lavia, Dario Essugo and Andrey Santos, there is little room for him for more playing time.

Fulham prepares formal approach

According to Sky Sports News, Fulham are ready to make a “formal enquiry” to Chelsea for Dewsbury-Hall.

Marco Silva has yet to make any summer signings, and the club wants to make rapid progress in the transfer market. Fulham are also in talks with Arsenal about Reiss Nelson, who spent last season on loan with them.

Sterling also on the radar

In addition to Nelson, Fulham are considering Raheem Sterling as a possible reinforcement on the wings, following Willian’s departure.

They are “keeping an eye” on the 30-year-old, but a possible transfer could be postponed until later in the window. Sterling is looking for a new club after returning from loan at Arsenal, and could also conceivably go abroad – with Bayer Leverkusen and Napoli mentioned as interested.
