Liverpool have loaded their squad with an impressive bunch of reinforcements this summer. 307 million euros have flowed out of the club’s coffers, now it will be 21. The Premier League title is being chased. But even the reigning Premier League champions have to sell players to balance their books, especially when Alexander Isak is still on his wish list. At the weekend, two Liverpool players were left out of the Hong Kong matchday squad against AC Milan, a sure sign that there is activity in the transfer market.

Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz were both absent, according to transfer journalist Nicolo Schira, Diaz is now just a small step away from transfer on Sunday.

Schira claims Diaz has agreed with Bayern Munich on personal terms and contract until 2030, where the transfer fee will end up at around €75 million. Diaz is a player Arne Slot did not want to lose, but once it happens, 75 million euros is good to have in the historically large shopping round for Liverpool.
