Manchester United recently got rid of manager Erik ten Hag and soon Ruben Amorim will take over the helm of the English big club.

United spent big money this summer on new acquisitions, including Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee. – There was a consensus in the media that the Dutch manager was pushing for a transfer of the striker, but now there is new information in Sky Sports that this was not the case.

So far, Joshua Zirkzee has not been a success, the hope was that the 23-year-old would get the goals flowing in, but there has only been one goal and two assists in 15 games.

Recently, Calciomercato also stated that Zirkzee is open to travel as early as January. Erik ten Hag, who already a couple of weeks after he was fired is relevant for Borussia Dortmund if Nuri Şahin is fired, was not thrilled and is said to have been against the purchase.

Zirkzee has a contract until the summer of 2029. – Manchester United bought him from Bologna for €42.5 million.

Ruben Amorim, who takes over at Old Trafford in a few weeks, has made it clear that Manchester United will no longer continue their policy of signing Dutch and Eredivisie players. This policy dominated Erik ten Hag’s transfer markets during his two years at the club.
