Although Manchester City have four losses in a row, City are and will remain title contenders in which they participate. With several of the biggest stars and Pep Guardiola on expiring contracts, as well as Erling Haaland’s buyout clause being activated in the summer, City could be facing big changes. It looks like Guardiola and Haaland have made a joint plan.
Guardiola has flirted with the English and Brazilian Football Associations about the national team coaching job, but has steered clear. According to Football Insider’s sources, Guardiola has now agreed with City on a deal in principle to stay at City for another year. The deal to extend Guardiola’s contract until the summer of 2026 is “99% complete” and an official announcement will come “soon”, reports the source.

With Guardiola staying at the Etihad, according to The Mirror, the club has gradually persuaded Erling Haaland to sign a new contract. Here, the 24-year-old becomes the Premier League’s highest-paid player with a wild £500,000 in weekly wages.
It seems that Guardiola and Haaland have a common plan to continue the extremely successful partnership and lead City to new titles.
