Barcelona remains in a state of uncertainty regarding the contract of Spanish midfielder Pedri, though both sides appear committed to continuing their partnership.
Deco has said this week that Pedri “wants to make history” with Barca and that the club plan to renew his contract which expires in 2026.
Barcelona midfielder Pedri has said that all is well regarding his future at the club amid talk of a contract extension.
His agent is currently working on the extension and he’s completely calm.
“I’m very calm. My agents are taking care of it. There’s no news, but everything’s fine” – he told a press conference.
“I think it’s going well, it’s all proceeding as expected”.

Pedri is currently with the Spain squad and set to feature on Monday against Switzerland. He will then return to Barca to start preparing for their next clash against Celta.
On September 2, 2019, Pedri finalized the details of a two-year contract with Catalan club Barcelona, which came into effect in the summer of 2020. At the start of the 2020/21 season, at just 17 years old, he made his debut for the Catalans in La Liga matches.

Meanwhile, Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny, who resumed his career and signed with Barcelona until the end of the season, may extend his deal with the Catalan club. The team is reportedly pleased with the Pole’s approach to his role.
