The club of Morten Thorsby and Emil Bohinen is struggling in Serie A. Genoa manager Alberto Gilardino has in practice already been fired, the club that is all the way down in 17th place wants to present a new manger about an hour after Gilardino has been fired.
According to Relevo, former France international Patrick Vieira has agreed with Genoa to replace Alberto Gilardino.

Vieira has previously been in charge of Strasbourg, Crystal Palace, Nice and New York City is said to have received a deal until the summer of 2026.
As a player, he belonged to clubs such as Arsenal, Juventus, Inter and Manchester City. He played the most games for Arsenal, 405, and won three Premier League titles.
