Very few, if any, predicted that Liverpool would win 15 of their first 17 games with manager Arne Slot taking over from Jurgen Klopp in the summer. The refrain was that you had to give the Dutch time, but he immediately managed to lift an already brilliant team.
Most things seem to be going in the right direction, first place in the Premier League and a very good start in the Champions League leads to great optimism and when even big scorer Mohamed Salah looks set to stay at Anfield, it can’t get any better. But it is early in the season and the wear and tear will be great.
Bundesliga expert predicts one of the ‘world’s best players’ is set to sign for Liverpool and best of all, he is teammates with Mohamed Salah’s in the Egyptian national team.

Despite their successful start to the season, one of the first challenges Slot faced as Liverpool boss was the lack of new players joining the club ahead of the season, with only Federico Chiesa and Giorgi Mamardashvili coming in – who were loaned back to Valencia until the end of the season.
Next summer, however, they could be on the hunt for a Bundesliga striker who happens to be Mo Salah’s teammate in Egypt. Omar Marmoush, 25, has been in impressive form for Eintracht Frankfurt so far this season – 11 times in just ten league games and seven assists.
The attacker was heavily linked with a Premier League move in the summer transfer window, and Nottingham Forest reported to be interested according to Nottinghamshire Live – but no such deal materialised.
But the player is expected to make a move this summer if his excellent form in the German top flight continues, and the Bundesliga expert has all but confirmed the possibility of a move to Liverpool.
“It’s no secret that he will probably move to Liverpool next summer,” explained journalist and pundit Marcel Reif [via Sport Witness].
“I would spend a few euros on it. Like the successor to his great idol Mo Salah. Things couldn’t have been better for him.”
Marmoush started his career at Egyptian club Wadi Degla before getting his first shot at European football with Wolfsburg in 2017, he showed signs of promise as a youngster but was loaned to several clubs, including St. Pauli and Stuttgart before signing a permanent deal with Eintracht in the summer of 2023.
Marmoush has also been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, according to Sky Germany.
The player’s contract is set to run until June 2027, but speaking to German newspaper Welt, Frankfurt’s sporting director, Markus Krosche, pushed back when a journalist referred to the player’s value as €40 million.
“That [amount] won’t be enough,” Krosche said.
“It’s often the case with a lot of players joining us that we give them an environment where they can continue to develop – fully aware that we would let them go if they develop faster than the club itself.
“It’s an agreement we make with the players.
