It will cost, but Barcelona, who have really managed to turn things around under manager Hansi Flick, are now running an actual operating profit after a few years of crisis. Barcelona lead La Liga over arch-rivals Real Madrid and are now planning to complete what is referred to as the world’s most attacking streak with superstar Rafael Leao.
AS writes that Barcelona with Leao will undoubtedly create the best attacking line in the world.
In 13 games, Barca have scored an incredible 40 goals thanks to the impressive performances of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and young superstar Lamine Yamal. And now, the La Liga greats are reportedly seeing a massive move for another of the best attackers in the world, and the player is said to be keen on the move.
According to Barcelona pundit Reshad Rahman, AC Milan star Rafael Leao is “almost hysterical” about a potential move to Barcelona after seeing how the club has evolved under new manager Hansi Flick.
Rahman wrote in his latest update: “Rafael Leao wants Barcelona, he’s crazy about it! He believes they are at a good level, continue to grow under Hansi Flick, and a stadium that is going to be the best when it is done.
“He wants to join a team where he can win big and Barca tempt him.”
Rumours of Leao moving to Barcelona began to circulate in recent weeks, with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reporting that the 25-year-old was one of the club’s two main transfer targets for either the January or summer window.
The Portuguese winger had previously been linked with a move to the Spanish club in August, and Milan are said to demand €90 million to part ways with the talented attacker.
Since joining the Serie A giants from Lille in 2019, Leao has made 224 appearances for AC Milan, scoring 61 goals and assisting 55.
If he were to join Barcelona, he would no doubt be looking to get straight into the starting line-up, but could face competition from Raphinha, who has had a breakout season this campaign.
The former Leeds United man has scored 12 goals and assisted 10 to 17 games in all competitions for Barcelona this season and was rewarded with the La Liga Player of the Month award in August.
