Manchester City have gone six straight games without a win. A crucial piece of the puzzle that is currently missing from Pep Guardiola’s squad building is Rodri.

Rodri to the podcast “The Rest is Football”. “My goal is to come back this season. I think in terms of my mentality, it will be positive for me to not give up on the season and throw it in the trash.”

On average, it takes about nine months to fully recover from an ACL injury. Rodri, however, wants to cut that time significantly. “My goal is six, seven months, but it’s the physiotherapists who should dictate it”

Rodri has made 260 appearances for Manchester City since joining the club in 2019. The midfielder’s track record includes four Premier League titles, an FA Cup title, and a Champions League title.

The Spaniard led his nation to gold in this summer’s European Football Championship and was awarded the Ballon d’Or for his performances in the 2023-24 season.
