It is clear that incoming Leicester manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has a big task. He was in the stands with no opportunity to do anything when “The Foxes” collapsed against Brentford and lost 4-1.

Immediately after the defeat, the supporters demanded that sporting director Jon Rudkin should resign. On Friday, Ruud van Nistelrooy was presented as the new manager of Leicester and his comeback in the Premier League comes just over two and a half weeks after he left Manchester United.

The 48-year-old will make his first appearance as manager of the Foxes next week and was able to watch Saturday’s meeting with Brentford from the stands.

And he has a lot to think about, van Nistelrooy.

Leicester actually took the lead against Brentford through Facundo Buonanotte. Then the team fell apart.

Before the first half was over, Brentford led 3-1 after double goals from Kevin Schade and one from Yoane Wissa. In the second half, Schade completed his hat-trick and the game ended with a 4-1 victory for Brentford.

After the defeat, Leicester fans were furious and demanded the resignation of sporting director Jon Rudkin.

“Want Rudkin gone,” the supporters chanted, according to Talksport journalist Alex Crook.

Ruud van Nistelrooy will make his debut as Leicester manager against West Ham on Tuesday. Former “The Foxes” player Matty Fryatt has doubts about whether the Dutchman is the right man for the job.

“Of course he will get respect for his playing career, but I doubt him as a coach because it’s something else. The club has acted quickly. In the past, when it came to bottom games, they were a little slow to sack Brendan Rodgers. I think it was necessary sooner or later. So they have acted quickly this time and identified van Nistelrooy as their old man,” Fryatt said, according to the BBC.
