Manchester United will sell Antony and Marcus Rashford in 2025 if suitable offers come along, according to a report.
New Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim suffered his first major setback in a midweek clash with Arsenal when his team was comfortably beaten by the Gunners at the Emirates.
It was a game that hammered home the obvious: Amorim have not been able to completely transform the club’s in just a few weeks. Beyond that, it also illustrated that some of Manchester United’s players simply don’t meet the standard required.

Many changes will be needed to rectify the situation and to give Amorim the tools to really get the best out of the squad and be able to fully utilize their preferred system.
A big problem Manchester United will face in this task, and it is the problem that will prevent them from being busy in January, is the fact that they will have to pay close attention to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
As transfer expert David Ornstein previously said, “the money is not there”. The club has been operating at an annual loss for several years, but has continued to spend large sums of money in summer windows, which makes the current situation difficult.
As a result, Manchester United will have to complete lucrative sales. Sky Germany, who revealed several of the club’s transfer targets earlier this week, have now confirmed that several high-profile players can be sold at the right price.
Reporter Florian Plettenberg claims that the €95 million flop Antony could be sold as early as January if a suitable offer comes. The holiday season is seen as his last chance to convince club bosses that he is good enough, but there is already an acceptance that it would be better to part ways in 2025.
The tricky part will be generating the kind of interest that will allow the club to recoup some of the inflated sum. In the summer, only Real Betis made a concrete offer of a Deadline Day loan to the Brazilian.
In addition to Antony, Plettenberg also emphatically stated that Marcus Rashford could be sacrificed. Although it might have been a difficult sale from a sentimental point of view, it is almost seen as a necessary evil financially.
Rashford will be someone who will bring the club huge income upon sale, and due to being the home team, he could free up a huge amount of PSR space, which is why he is such an attractive candidate to be sold.
