Juventus star Danilo sees no reason to go to a club that is not qualified for the Champions League when Serie A leaders Napoli are showing such clear interest.

Manchester United have in recent weeks, led by newly sacked sporting director Dan Ashworth, searched high and low for players who can strengthen the club’s defence.

Danilo, who has a past in the sky-blue part of Manchester, has made his choice after talking to Napoli manager Antonio Conte. Juventus have nothing to do and cannot prevent Danilo from choosing to go to one of the club’s biggest rivals. The centre-back, who joined from Manchester City in 2019, has not wanted to sign a new contract with the old lady and is free to do whatever he wants in the summer.

According to Sportmediaset, Danilo has given the green light to move to Napoli this summer. He is said to have given his approval to the transfer in a conversation he had with Antonio Conte very recently.

The 33-year-old defender has played for Real Madrid and Porto in addition to Juventus and Napoli.
