Portuguese Nani (Luis Nani) will not be forgotten by Manchester United fans anytime soon, the 38-year-old, who today announces that he is ending his football career, was one of the greats at Old Trafford.
Nani started out at Sporting Lisbon like many others and in 2007 joined Manchester United for 25 million euros.
He reaped great success. Among other things, he won the Premier League on four occasions, the League Cup on two occasions and a Champions League title with “The Red Devils”.

In 2015, he left Manchester United for Valencia – and since then there have been stays at a whole bunch of clubs around the world, from the United States to Australia.
“Thank you Football”
This summer, he returned home to Portugal when he signed for Estrela da Amadora – and this club address was his last.
On Sunday, Nani announced that he would stop playing football. “Everything has an end”
I have now made a very important decision about my professional life – which is to stop being a professional football player. I will, as they say, hang up my shoes. But I do it with a feeling that I have completed my mission.

Nani looks back on her career with pleasure.
“It was a beautiful career filled with many successes. That is precisely why the time has come to make this decision.
Now the next step in life awaits Nani.
“I’m ready to move forward in a different way. For example, in the academy here, we build it for young players. There I get the opportunity to work with them and experience amazing moments.
The Portuguese then becomes emotional in his greeting:
“There have been some difficult moments recently. For example, I lost my father not too long ago, and it made me realize that I want to spend as much time as I can with my children, my mother, my siblings, cousins, and other relatives. That is important.
In total, Nani scored 41 goals and 70 assists in 230 games with Manchester United.
