West Ham won 2-1 over Wolverhampton.

Much of the focus was shifted away from the game itself to Michail Antonio, as the striker was involved in a serious car accident at the weekend.

Bekke West Ham’s goalscorers praised Michail Antonio, who will now miss out on the season outside of football.

The first half was entertaining, even though no goals were scored. There were great chances at both ends, but the ball did not go into the goal, and therefore the score was 0-0 until halftime.

Ten minutes into the second half, the first goal came.

After a set piece, Tomas Soucek put his head on the ball, after which the ball went into the box at the back post. Mohammed Kudus then doubled the lead, but after a VAR review, the goal was not allowed.

With just over 20 minutes left, Matt Doherty scored a nice equaliser, but the luck didn’t last long for the visitors.
