Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper André Onana isn’t exactly great, but still, with many back-to-back goals as a result, Rúben Amorim has continued to use ex-manager Erik ten Hag’s favourite.

Sky reports that Manchester United’s sporting management expects the 26-year-old to leave the club, either in January or this summer. The reason for that is that he is simply “too good” to finish second behind André Onana.

And so far, there is nothing to indicate that the Turkish international goalkeeper will get any playing time for the Premier League giant in the near future. That said, people internally at Old Trafford are happy with Bayindir, who is under contract until 2027.

Sky adds that Manchester United are on the hunt for a new third goalkeeper. Should Bayindir quit in the next six months, they will also be forced to bring in a new draw number. – And, in our opinion, a new first goalkeeper as well.
