Before the Ten Hag exit, Joshua Zirkzee was warned to leave as early as January. The former Bologna player had shown himself to be the wrong type of player, after scoring in his Premier League debut it was thin from the 23-year-old. Juventus were heavily linked with the loan of Zirkzee, but the Serie A giant does not need the Dutchman’s type of player either.
Zirkzee has started scoring with Amorim football, but is still not showing himself as a long-term option for United. Juventus need to get reinforcements for the attack in January, but the Juve boss denies that they are interested in a Zirkzee deal.
“We are waiting for Arek Milik (injured). Zirkzee is very talented, but he plays for another team and that’s all I can say,” Juve director Cristiano Giuntoli told Football Italia.
Before the Juve boss changes his mind and becomes more direct: “We’re looking for something completely different.
Needs a completely different type of play than Zirkzee. Case closed.
