Marcus Rashford is the combination of too high a salary, too poor performances in front of the opponents’ goal and too little of the intensity and guts Ruben Amorim demands. In other words, Rashford is again heavily linked with exit, perhaps as early as January. In London, Arsenal are popping up as a possible suitor, but an Arsenal expert thinks the Gunners should not take this opportunity.

“Marcus Rashford’s name always seems to come up when talking about Arsenal these days,” Arsenal “insider” begins Charles Watts to Caughtoffside.

“He always seems to be part of the conversation, certainly among the fans, and that could be the case again as we move towards January, given what is happening with him at Manchester United at the moment,” Watts continued.

– Do I think he can be an option for Arsenal? I don’t think so, to be honest. I’m just not sure he’s what they need. If he was still Rashford like a couple of years ago, my thoughts would be different. But if this were the case, he would be playing week after week for United right now.

“But he doesn’t, and there’s a reason for that. So if Arsenal, or anyone else, were to go for him in January, they would do so in the hope that he could rediscover his best form again, Watts doses.

-It would just be a bit of a gamble. Similar to what Arsenal did with Raheem Sterling in the summer, and it has certainly not been a commitment that has paid off. Rashford would also be far more expensive,” the Arsenal expert concludes.
