While Aguero claims that Salah has already signed a contract extension at Liverpool, the Egyptian international has previously indicated that he is likely to leave Anfield next summer.
Last month, he told reporters (according to The Athletic): “We’re almost in December and I’ve yet to receive any offers to stay at the club. I’m probably more outside than inside.
“You know I’ve been at the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end, it’s not in my hands. As I said before, it’s December and I haven’t gotten anything about my future yet.
“I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end, it’s not in my hands or the fans’ hands. Let’s wait and see.”
Asked if he was disappointed that a formal offer had not yet been made by Liverpool, Salah admitted: “Of course, yes. I’m not going to retire anytime soon, so I’m just playing, focusing on the season and trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I’m disappointed, but we’ll see.
Salah has scored a ridiculous 227 goals in 372 appearances for Liverpool, while winning eight trophies in a seven-and-a-half year at Anfield.
