Finally, it was Mason Mount’s turn at Manchester United. After finally being injury-free and switched to Ruben Amorim, the former Chelsea player would be able to play in a new formation, where Mount’s strengths would finally be utilised. It has started promisingly, against Manchester City the 26-year-old was on the pitch from the start. Then it narrowed 14 minutes into the game, Mount had to miss the rest of the game with medical treatment.

After Thursday’s League Cup match against Tottenham, Ruben Amorim reported that Mount will be out with a muscle injury for several weeks, on Saturday an update from the player himself came on Instagram:

-Words can’t describe how devastated I feel right now, you could probably see the expression on my face when it happened. I knew what that meant. United fans, you may not know me very well yet, but one thing I can guarantee, I will never give up or lose faith. I have said this before, but I will continue to give it my all, get through this tough period and will not stop until it is achieved.

The attacking midfielder has started in six of twelve games this season, but is still without a goal in his 403 minutes on the pitch

We want Mount speedy recovery.
