A few hours before Everton were to face Peterborough United in the FA Cup 3rd round, the football bomb went off in the blue part of Liverpool. Sean Dyche has been on his way out for a few months, but when the new owner landed at Liverpool, it seemed that Dyche still had confidence as Everton manager.
Tough guy Sean Dyche is unlikely to cry over being sacked, he knows he saved the Premier League spot for Everton last season against those odds. Dyche also knows the game where Premier League managers are more often sacked than resigned.
What Dyche will react to is that the Friedkin gang is withholding compensation. According to The Times, the Americans negotiated with Dyche in recent days, where they felt he had given up as Everton manager. The Everton owners have understood this to mean that it is Dyche who is withdrawing.
Therefore, Dyche is not entitled to full compensation for the contract that was supposed to run in the summer.
Sounds like this case is not over anytime soon.
