To Aftonbladet says that “I have decided to stay” without saying why the German Bundesliga club was no longer relevant. – We think he, like so many others, was frightened by the smell of bratwurst and sauerkraut.
Last week, Fotbollskanalen wrote that the German club Eintracht Braunschweig had made a bid for IFK Göteborg’s Anders Trondsen. Afterwards, Expressen stated that only details remain before the transfer would be finalized and the Norwegian was then on a club visit.
Everything pointed to a transfer. It’s not going to happen, the left-back himself confirms.
“After some consideration, I have decided to stay with IFK Göteborg. I have to trust my gut feeling and what I think is best for me. I am happy to have made this decision and now, as I said, I am looking forward to training camp with the team. I will build on the great form I had at the end of last season and no one needs to doubt that my motivation is at its peak.”
Anders Trondsen has a contract with IFK Göteborg that expires in the summer of 2026. He has played in Blåvitt since the winter of 2023.
Before he came to the Swedish city known for its channels, Anders Trondsen spent two seasons at the Turkish club Trabzonspor, but there was eventually more time on the bench than on the grass.
