It has been known for a few months, the storm has lied a bit in Dortmund after “their” Jürgen Klopp took the top position at Red Bull and thus also the big rival RB Leipzig. On Tuesday, Klopp was finally at work and ready for what to do and definitely not do.

On Tuesday, Klopp was presented as the new Global Head of Soccer in the Red Bull group, the questions he was asked tell this is anything but an ordinary director.

“I’m not going to coach a Red Bull team. I’m the only one who gets questions about where I’ll be in four or five years. No one knows, but I won’t be a coach at a Red Bull club. I hope we create a structure where such questions cannot be asked. That would be great,” Klopp said according to Sky Sports.

Sorry, Jürgen, these questions are going to follow you wherever you go.

Because as Pep Guardiola dryly commented when arch-rival Jürgen Klopp announced he was stepping down as Liverpool manager early: “He’s like me, he’s coming back as coach”.

Red Bull has the following clubs in Klopp’s portfolio: RB Leipzig, RB Salzburg, New York Red Bulls, RB Bragantino, Leeds United and Paris FC.
