In the past year, Casemiro has been urged by various “experts” to leave Old Trafford in order not to ruin his reputation from the Real Madrid era. Since Ruben Amorim’s arrival in November, it has pretty much been the bench for one of United’s highest-paid players. In January, the Brazilian is linked with Saudi Arabian clubs, but United supporters and Amorim could be in for a surprise.
The reason is that Manchester United desperately need the sale of Casemiro to finance reinforcements in January. This has caused the United management to slap on a £30 million price tag, reports Caughtoffside. The 32-year-old has not been close to delivering as in the Real shirt since his first season at United, the price tag keeps the clubs at bay.
According to Caughtoffiside’s sources, it looks like Casemiro will end up on the bench at United for the rest of the season – unless the management realises the miscalculation and sharply lowers price expectations.
