Jordan Henderson thought hard about leaving Ajax to be in the fight for the Ligue 1 title with Monaco. Last game, Henderson even gave up the captain’s armband. Then Ajax put on the brakes, the Englishman later apologized for the attempt, Dutch media reported. For Oliver Edvardsen, this means that he will be led by the legendary Liverpool player.
Edvardsen left Stabæk in 2022 for the Dutch league and Go Ahead Eagles. The club that sounds like a bunch of cheerleaders, was last season the 9th best club in the Eredivisie. Now Edvardsen is promoted to the title fight with Ajax.
Ajax reports on their website that the 25-year-old will be contracted until 2028, Go Ahead Eagles shows on instagram that the Norwegian has been a key player for the club.
The 25-year-old has so far in the season a solid 8 goals and 4 assists in 14 games, this productivity needs Ajax and captain Jordan Henderson
