Chelsea have just received a sensational offer of €30 million for a player who has been completely forgotten. The German giants, who have just brought in Niko Kovac as their new manager, want Carney Chukwuemeka this January.

Chukwuemeka was signed in 2022 and has barely played for Chelsea due to injury problems and the fact that he is not a favourite with either manager since then. Under Enzo Maresca, the England youth international has not played a single game in the Premier League, and he has only played 130 minutes of football in total this season.
Chukwuemeka has been expected to leave the club for the entire window, but so far no final decision has been made. This is probably due to the fact that at the beginning of the transfer period, the Blues demanded that the clubs pay his buyout clause of 48 million euros. – Something no one is going to do, even those who are responsible for football in Saudi Arabia think it is too much.
This made Chelsea change their attitude and open up the possibility of a loan.
Chelsea have received a massive offer for Chukwuemeka – and the West London club have rejected it. Borussia Dortmund approached the Blues late on Saturday night with a loan offer that, according to Sky Germany, included a €30 million purchase option.
However, Fabrizio Romano reports that the Blues will not accept this offer or, indeed, any proposal with a purchase option. With the end of the window fast approaching, Chelsea will only sanction a loan with no option for Chukwuemeka.
