Argentine midfielder Carlos Alcaraz has officially returned to the English Premier League.
Everton announced today the loan signing of Alcaraz from Flamengo. All documents were signed yesterday, but the deal was only made public this morning.
The central midfielder joins on loan until the end of the season, with the Toffees holding an option to buy.
We have signed Argentinian midfielder Carlos Alcaraz on loan from @Flamengo for the rest of the 2024/25 campaign, with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Speaking after he completed the formalities of signing for the Toffees, the Argentine said: “I am very happy to join Everton, such a great club, with a very good fanbase. I’m very happy and I’m looking forward to start training with my teammates and see the fans at the stadium.”
“I am ready for any challenge with this beautiful club so that’s why I came and accepted the offer to keep fighting for my dreams. I want to tell the fans that whenever I wear this shirt, I will give my best, I will give everything I have to take Everton to the top, which is where they deserve to be.”

Alcaraz previously played in England for Southampton and also spent six months on loan at Juventus.
At Everton, Alcaraz will replace Orel Mangala, who is out for the rest of the season due to a cruciate ligament tear.
