English defender Luke Shaw suffered a new setback in his injury, which may lead to his absence from action for up to four weeks, according to the British newspaper “The Sun”.

The report even suggests the time line for a return could be longer as the estimate is “depending on treatment and rehab”.

Shaw has managed just five appearances for United over the past 12 months.

Shaw had only just returned from a muscle injury in late January, which he sustained in early December 2024. Before that, in August, the 29-year-old suffered two separate injuries—knee and calf issues—which he recovered from in early November.

In total, Shaw has already missed 150 days this season and has been available for selection for only three weeks.
