80 games at youth level at Manchester United and 3 Bundesliga games. Isak Hansen-Aarøen has had quite a journey as a 20-year-old. It was therefore many who were surprised that the Norwegian player is now on a training camp in Marbella with Danish AaB.

The Superliga club confirmed on December 11 that they had secured Hansen-Aarøen from Werder Bremen on loan, which is a good explanation for the 20-year-old chasing playing time at AaB in North Jutland.

Norwegian Mathias Haugaasen is in his second season as AaB assistant coach. This is the man who helped flash Hansen-Aarøen for Manchester United when the Premier League giant brought in the super talent from Tromsø in 2020.

“The way it was at Werder Bremen, I needed a little more playing time, and AaB is ready to give me that. Mathias knows me from before, so that probably helped make it happen, says Hansen-Aarøen to Bold.

The Danish media also wants to know something about how his stay at Manchester United has shaped him as a player.

“Off the pitch, it has meant a lot, because I moved to England alone as a 16-year-old, where I learned a lot about what it means to live alone and about life in general. In terms of football, it was just a completely different world I came to in England than the one I was used to in Tromsø. I moved in the middle of corona, which was very difficult, so you can say that when difficult situations arise, I can feel that I have been in something difficult before,” says the 20-year-old.

Who is now taking a step back in Danish football to return strengthened to one of the biggest leagues.
