Arsenal will spend the short break in February at a training camp in Dubai. Still no pure striker in, despite a solid attempt to bring in Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa, but some important days with a break from the English winter climate and the Premier League. It was therefore maximum bad luck that Arsenal return to the Premier League with a key player out injured.
Kai Havertz covers a striker position Arsenal are already sparsely manned in, according to The Athletic, the German suffered a hamstring injury at the training camp in Dubai.
It doesn’t stop there. The English media claim the injury is keeping the striker out with a solid 15 goals in 34 games (9 in the Premier League) for the rest of the season.
Arteta will provide more information at Friday’s pre-match press conference against Van Nistelrooy and Leicester. If this is true, with Bukaya Saka and Gabriel Jesus also out with long-term injury, it really does joke for Arsenal’s titles this season as well.
