ATP ranking leader Carlos Alcaraz says he learned from his loss to Novak Djokovic in the 2023 Roland Garros semi-final and wants a rematch at Wimbledon. The Spaniard hopes to meet the Serbian in the final of the event.

Carlos Alcaraz was tipped to be the main favorite at Roland Garros. However, the Spaniard lost unexpectedly to Novak Djokovic, winning just one set in the match. Alcaraz then made a mistake in his physical preparations, which resulted in him getting full-body cramps during the match that prevented him from playing.

The Spaniard claims that he has learned from the defeat and that is why he now looks so good on grass courts. Proof of this is the victory of the Queens tournament, thanks to which Alcaraz returned to the leader of the ranking. Alcaraz, however, remembers the events of Roland Garros and is hungry for a rematch.

-I feel fine. I’ve been training for a few days now and I feel energized for the first match. I hope to play in the final against Djokovic, although I know it will be a challenge. I don’t feel any more pressure. I know what I must do. I play to win as many tournaments as possible,” Alcaraz said at a press conference before the start of Wimbledon.
