He is wanted by Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and AC Milan. Aston Villa are already working on manoeuvring their way to signing. Charalampos Kostoulas is Greece’s big wonder kid, but at the beginning of March, the 17-year-old got a reality check together with the rest of the Olympiakos players at Aspmyra.
In the first round of 8 against Bodø/Glimt, the young striker was put on the pitch with 31 minutes left of the game. The last four Europa League games, the 17-year-old had been involved from the start, but at Aspmyra it was a completely different opposition that awaited.
Bodø/Glimt surged in to a 3-0 victory, Kostoulas and the rest of the Olympiakos players left the Norwegian turf without scoring. In the second leg, the striker was out with a muscle injury. Bodø/Glimt did the job, and the 17-year-old’s Europa League adventure was thus over.
According to Caughtoffside, Champions League club Aston Villa are working hard to manoeuvre to sign Kostoulas, with the 17-year-old set to play a major role in the Villa attack in the coming seasons. Olympiakos are likely to demand up to €30 million, but according to the English media, the Premier League club are very keen to bring Kostoulas to Villa Park this summer.
In addition to Bayern, Borussia, Juventus and Milan, the English media reports Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest are also following the teenager closely.
