Reece James went from captaining to becoming a problem for Chelsea, constantly on the injury bench (or out with quarantine). This season, the right-back, who two seasons ago was heavily linked to Real Madrid, is back on the pitch. Since January, the 25-year-old has been “fit to play”, this has given James a ticket back to the England national team. Perhaps not so strange when “the best coach he has had” leads the Three Lions.

At Chelsea, Enzo Maresca is the coach and boss of captain Reece, but the right-back has no qualms about posting that Maresca nicely accepts that Tuchel was the best Chelsea manager.

“Tuchel is the best coach if I have to point to someone I have been coached by. There are many different reasons for this. We won trophies under him in a difficult period when few expected it,” James told ITV Sport.

Frank Lampard, Graham Potter, Mauricio Pochettino and now Enzo Maresca, all have to digest that the Chelsea captain puts Tuchel at the top.
