Brown tells Football-Insider that Tottenham have held talks with Gomes’ agent and are picking up the pace to land a deal.
This comes after Gomes reportedly turned down offers from West Ham.
English, French, Spanish and German clubs are trying to persuade the 24-year-old, but according to Football Insider’s sources, Tottenham are leading this race and are heading for signing.
