Swedish superstar Viktor Gyökeres and Sporting are in direct talks with Chelsea about a transfer in the summer. (There has also been some talk about La Liga, both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid)

Chelsea are currently 1 point away from qualification for the Champions League.

The transfer window is approaching, and tensions are rising around what will be the next step for Viktor Gyökeres.

Teamtalk, now reports that Chelsea have contacted the Swede’s representatives directly to confirm their interest in him.

According to reports, “The Blues” have identified Gyökeres as the solution to their search for a new striker. Coach Enzo Maresca is said to want a more experienced option who can compete with Nicolas Jackson – a role the Swede fits well into.

In the conversation, Chelsea reportedly informed Sporting that they consider a total offer of between 70-75 million euros for the 26-year-old attacker to be reasonable. Chelsea have Victor Osimhen as an option.

Gyökeres has impressed greatly since joining Sporting 1.5 years ago, with 87 goals in 95 games.
