Few, if any, laugh at Wrexham and what seemed like naïve optimism on the part of Ryan Reynolds and his Hollywood buddy. From the amateur league to direct promotion to League Two, then direct promotion to League One. This season, the maiden Wrexham are once again in position for direct promotion. This time to the Championship, notched below the world’s toughest league. Come the promotion, the Welsh club is in a position to sign the striker who scored his club to the least expected title in Premier League history.
Jamie Vardy was unstoppable in Leicester’s 2015/2016 season with miracle man Claudio Ranieri. Vardy finished this jubilant season with 24 Premier League goals and was linked with several of the bigger clubs. Vardy was, stayed, relegated to the Championship, promoted again before this season – and is well on his way to relegation at the age of 38.

In the summer, Vardy’s contract runs out at Leicester, but hardly until retirement. After all, the veteran has shown he scores more in the league with his 7, than Manchester United’s two strikers (Hojlund and Zirkzee) combined.
This rawness and smartness in front of the opponents’ goal needs Wrexham. The club has been linked with Vardy for the past month, Sky Sports‘ Lee Hendrie believes there is a good chance that Wrexham and Vardy will find a match.

Which is crazy to think about, but he is still capable, I think, of causing so many problems (in front of the opponents’ goal). It looks like Wrexham are going to have a very good chance of promotion to the Championship, the former Aston Villa player (and cousin of Robin Williams) begins at Football League World.
-He knows that league. He still has that pace and smartness and something else that they can certainly use. Obviously, his age is one thing (to consider), but for a season I don’t think it would be a bad signing, not at all,” Hendrie said.
