When United boss Ratcliffe was asked to give a description of the situation of Manchester United this winter, the noble Englishman was not merciful to the squad the club has at its disposal. Overpaid, misinvestments, underperforming. In fact, there was only one player who deserved to be mentioned as duganes: Bruno Fernandes. Now it is feared that this one player himself chooses to exit.
So far, there are no signals that the United captain is pushing for an exit. Last summer, the Portuguese was in a process, where he demanded answers on how to move forward. The answers Ratcliffe gave Fernandes were so good that the Portuguese was convinced to continue. Even though United have overcome the quarter-final hurdle in the Europa League, 14th place in the Premier League still shines ominously against the supporters – and Fernandes.

United legend Rio Ferdinand is anything but reassured on behalf of his old club about the way forward for Fernandes and the consequences for the club if the captain is tempted to Real Madrid, or one of the other top clubs.
Because if United fail to win the Europa League and grab the Champions League ticket, it is rumored to be heading for extensive pay cuts for the entire squad.
-If Bruno is not at this club, we are in the relegation battle. I say that because without him, there is no hope in terms of an attacking force in this team. The numbers we talked about for the attacking players are so low, again, he’s the only inspiring factor in all the games we’ve seen,” Ferdinand told TNT Sports after United’s miraculous turnaround at Old Trafford against Lyon, led by captain Bruno Fernandes.
