It’s boiling as usual in Marseille. With Mason Greenwood as part of the squad since last summer, the international media has also looked more towards the French port city than before. The last day has been particularly “eventful”.
On Saturday, several French media reported that Marseille captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg wanted Mason Greenwood out of the team due to bad attitude. This comes after coach Roberto de Zerbi earlier this winter put the former United player on the bench for not having delivered enough.

Marseille’s sporting director Mehdi Benatia dismissed the story about Hojbjerg and Greenwood, a few hours later it was time for a Ligue 1 match against bottom team Montpellier.
The 23-year-old was in the starting eleven, was given the responsibility of scoring a penalty after eight minutes – and followed up with his second goal in the 67th minute.
Marseille won 5-1, Greenwood stands with 18 league goals as the second highest scoring player in Ligue 1.
