After Ollie Watkins topped the list last year, which player will have the most assists in the Premier League 2024/25 season
Most assists in the Premier League 2024/25
Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah is now virtually impossible to catch up with and leads the statistics with 18 assists this season. Unless something miraculous happens, he will be named the best assist player of the season.
Newcastle’s Jacob Murphy has had his best season ever and is in second place with 11 assists. This is followed by a group of players with 10 assists, including Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Fulham’s Antonee Robinson and Brentford’s Mikel Damsgaard.
Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min and Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga all have 9 assists, while Manchester City’s Savinho, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze and Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers have 8 assists each.

Progress throughout the season
Saka led the stats early in the season, but a long-term injury put an end to his progress. Salah took over the lead and has since widened the gap significantly.
Cole Palmer impressed early on with 3 assists in one game as Chelsea beat Wolves 6-2, while Kevin De Bruyne came into the competition strong after returning from injury.
In April, Salah practically secured the win in the statistics with his 18th assist in a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.
Historical comparison
Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry share the record for most assists in a single season with 20 each. De Bruyne has topped the statistics four times, while Salah has also been the best before (2021/22).
Ryan Giggs leads the all-time record with 162 assists in the Premier League, but De Bruyne (now at 112) is on the rise.
