The month of April has been pitch dark for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Besiktas. In 5th place in the Süper Lig, “our man” is right now without a ticket to play in Europe, the big goal for this season. Now a meeting is planned about the coming season, where two Bodø/Glimt players will be on the agenda.
Turkish Fanatik reports that there will be a meeting between the club president, Solskjaer, and newly appointed chief scout Graf, taken from Borussia Dortmund. The big topic of discussion will be how the financially squeezed club will secure the necessary reinforcements before the start of the season.

The Turkish newspaper claims that Besiktas aims to bring in Patrick Berg and Dane Kasper Høgh from their success at Bodø/Glimt. UEFA highlighted Berg’s “superb positioning” as one of the main factors why Lazio were sent home from Aspmyra with a 2-0 loss, Besiktas desperately need a player like Berg in midfield.
– Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær is said to have approved the transfer for Berg. President Serdal Adalı has stated: “The coach wants Berg very much. So do I,” writes Fanatik.
Bodø/Glimt have shown they can handle selling players and filling up with new ones, but in the case of Patrick Berg, it’s something else. For Berg’s part, Besiktas games may seem like an exciting journey, but from a sporting point of view, why leave Bodø/Glimt?
Playing for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is certainly a motivation, but when we have followed the development in Istanbul, there is great uncertainty as to how long Solskjaer will keep his job if the 3rd place is lost and the coming season starts slowly.

We hope Patrick Berg makes the choice to continue in yellow. The Bodø/Glimt project definitely has more to give.
