Arne Kind’s team has impressed from start to finish in the Dutchman’s first season in England. With only two defeats in 34 games, they have won the league and ended City’s unprecedented four-year reign.
Few thought Liverpool could fight for the top after Jürgen Klopp’s departure a year ago, but Slot has exceeded all expectations and already matched his predecessor’s number of league titles.

Liverpool will formally lift the Premier League trophy after their last home game against Crystal Palace on May 25 – the first time the club’s supporters get to see their team lift the league title live since May 1990.

Liverpool won their previous league championship in the delayed 2019/20 season during Covid-19, when Klopp’s team amassed 99 points on their way to the title, ending a 30-year drought for a top division championship.
