“We want the same thing as you, a strong team with a loud atmosphere in the stadium. The club has invested millions in improving the stadium experience, but you don’t get the atmosphere you want in the club if the fans are not there,” begins the open letter to Guardiola from the 1894 associations, MCFC Foodbank, Solid Citizens and Trade Union Blues.
“The most important thing is to make sure there are no empty seats at the Etihad Stadium. Make it easy for fans to be there, and you’ll have fully utilised stands. It also means more income for the club, as the fans spend money inside the stadium, the fans write, among other things, in the open letter.
They also urge Guardiola to have a chat with director Ferran Soriano about the current ticket prices, which supporters believe have a negative impact on attendance and atmosphere at the Etihad.
