Norwegian coach Ronny Deila has a number of successes behind him, also in MLS, but this time he is struggling to get things moving. – It is clear that Ronny Deila is under pressure at Atlanta United.

As in Norway, MLS follows the calendar year in its season, so as Atlanta United is ten games into this year’s season, we already see that Ronny Deila is struggling.

With two wins in the first ten games and only nine points out of a possible 30, this is the club’s worst start to the season ever.

Atlanta United have lost their last three games without scoring a single goal, including 0-3 losses away to both the Philadelphia Union and Orlando City. – Although they went slow and cool in the presentation below, they failed to win against Orlando two days ago.

Quote from head coach Ronny Deila on Atlanta’s pages:

“We have to accept the situation we are in now. It’s not a situation we want to be in. At the same time, we are here. So talking about results now is not the right way to look at it. We have to think about our performances, and they are not good enough. We are not as good as we can be – we have shown that earlier in the season. As I said to my players too: It can’t go on like this. I think in a way that the bottom has been reached. Now it’s about how we can turn this around. Then we learn more about ourselves and about each other as a group. And then we will come out of it stronger. I’m sure of that.”

Deila won MLS when he took New York City to the title in 2021. Since then, he has had stints at Standard Liège, Club Brugge and Al Wahda before taking over Atlanta United.
