It was just over a year at German Bundesliga club Wolfsburg for former Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl.
Wolfsburg have had a few bad weeks and slid down the Bundesliga table and now just before the end of the season and with nothing more to fight for and without danger of relegation, the club has chosen to sack now rather than wait until the summer break.

Wolfsburg are currently in 13th place in the Bundesliga. Now the club announces that head coach Ralph Hasenhüttl will be fired with immediate effect.
Assistant coaches Craig Fleming and Patrick Hasenhüttl will also have to leave the club, Wolfsburg confirms. The club’s U19 coach Daniel Bauer takes over the team in the last two league games.
“The results and developments in recent months have made us act now. We wish Ralph Hasenhüttl all the best in the future, says Wolfsburg director Peter Christiansen on the website.
