Many Manchester United fans, after Angel Gomes once again tested the England national team shirt and refused to extend with the French club Lile have wanted a return for the midfield talent who left the club in the summer of 2020.
Angel Gomes, who is now 24 years old, has thrived in Ligue 1, but at the same time thinks that Lille is getting a little small (!) and wants something bigger, but not necessarily back in the Premier League. Manchester United, Newcastle, Tottenham and West Ham have all shown interest.

It could still happen that there will be a return to England, but first there will be negotiations with Marseille to reach a conclusion.
L’Équipe writes that Marseille are working hard to sign Gomes. Negotiations have been going on for several weeks, and the parties are getting closer to an agreement.
Marseille are currently in second place in Ligue 1, while Lille are in fifth place.
Gomes, who was developed at Manchester United, joined Lille in August 2020 and has since delivered 10 goals and 19 assists in 134 official games.
