Real Madrid’s new man will be Xabi Alonso, after the Bayer Leverkusen manager has accepted a three-year contract with the Spanish giants.
Alonso confirmed last week that he will leave Leverkusen, before his team lost 4-2 to Borussia Dortmund in his last home game as coach.

He has been considered the clear favourite to take over from Carlo Ancelotti for over a year, and now he is ready to commit to Madrid for three seasons.
Xabi Alonso replaces Ancelotti
Josep Pedrerol confirmed the deal via El Chiringuito and revealed that Alonso will take over in time to lead Real Madrid in the FIFA Club World Cup. The new coach also has three new signings ready.
“Alonso will be Real Madrid’s coach from June 1,” the journalist said. There were doubts about the Club World Cup, but he wants to travel to participate.

“He will be one of the new faces, but not the only one. Because Real Madrid’s three new signings will also leave.
