Leeds are back where they deserve. Marcelo Bielsa laid the foundation, led the club back to the top division, was sacked when things got tough, then Leeds have been on the hunt for the next “right” manager. Jesse Marsch got a try, Javi Gracia had a guest appearance, Daniel Farke succeeded in promotion on his second attempt. Now the Leeds owners (and Red Bull’s Global Head of Soccer, Klopp) are thinking about whether Farke can lead Leeds to something more than another tenacious relegation.

In recent weeks, Kjetil Knutsen has been linked to the coaching job at Leeds, the club management has been impressed by Bodø/Glimt’s success journey out in Europe and as a title wholesaler in Norwegian football. Danish Bold has heard that another Scandinavian coach is also on the Leeds block.

According to the Danish media, Leeds have shown serious interest in Bo Henriksen’s coaching services. The former FC Zurich coach was brought to Mainz in February 2024 on his way to relegation, saved his place in the Bundesliga and this season has a hand on an impressive 6th place and Conference League ticket.

Henriksen of course has no comment on Bold, but the Danish media describes the coach as almost perfect for where Leeds have been, are and are going.
