On Sunday, 21-year-old Conor Bradley was at right-back for Liverpool from the start. Arne Slot had already told the world on Friday that Bradley needed playing time before next season – without Trent Alexander-Arnold. A vote of confidence in the 21-year-old, but he will probably have to be patient – Liverpool also have another plan for the right-back.
Bradley is likely to get more game time, but according to Sky Sports, Liverpool are in talks with the right-back who has been linked with several Premier League clubs over the past two seasons. Jeremie Frimpong has made it big at Xabi Alonso and Bayer Leverkusen, the Dutch right-back/midfielder is considered one of the few who can replace Alexander-Arnold without Liverpool “losing momentum”.
Sky Sports journalist Plettenberg reports that negotiations are already underway between the parties. With a buyout clause of between 35 and 40 million euros, this should be a done deal if the player and club agree.
Frimpong has worn the Leverkusen shirt since 2021 with an impressive 30 goals and 44 assists in 190 games.

We’re guessing the Dutch colony of Liverpool players has confirmed Frimpong has what it takes to wear the red shirt in the title chase.
