Rasmus Hojlund’s future at Manchester United has suddenly been called into question.
A brand new club has entered the race to sign Manchester United’s Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund, according to a sensational new report.

Challenging season for Højlund
Hojlund has only scored four goals in the Premier League this season, in a game at the top that has been marked by challenges for the Danish international. However, he has impressed in the Europa League with six goals, including one in the 4-1 win over Athletic Bilbao in the second leg of the semi-finals.
But there have been growing doubts about the 22-year-old’s future this summer, especially after rumours that manager Rúben Amorim wants to bring in a new striker.

Højlund wants to stay – but the situation is unclear
Højlund himself has expressed that he wants to stay at the club. After the win over Bilbao, he told reporters:
“It’s the tough times that make you better, and you learn a lot from them. I’ve always said that I know what this club stands for, and that it comes with a lot of pressure – but that’s exactly why I’m here. I want to show off on the biggest stage.
According to The Telegraph, however, Hojlund’s future is still uncertain, because Amorim may have to sell players in order to be able to buy new ones this summer.
Mourinho and Fenerbahçe show interest
Now the Turkish media channel Sözcü claims that a former Manchester United manager wants to sign Hojlund.
It is said to be José Mourinho and Fenerbahçe who are considering a loan with an option to buy for the Dane. The Turkish club plans to let both Youssef En-Nesyri and Cenk Tosun leave the team, while Edin Džeko (39) has his contract expiring at the end of the season.
The departure of these players will leave Mourinho with few attacking options, and Hojlund is said to be the first step towards a renewal of the attacking line.
Will United accept a loan deal?
With United’s need to sell in order to buy new players, it is unclear whether a loan deal without an immediate transfer fee will be enough to persuade them to let go of a player they paid £72m for to Atalanta just two years ago.
