Most people are probably right about the moment in Ted Lasso where Rupert Manion, owner of West Ham, frustrated at not being heard by, walks out onto the pitch and up in his face and knocks him straight down after a short argument.

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis, who is well fed for the winter, stormed onto the pitch and started an argument with his successful manager Nuno Espirito Santo, far within any intimate zone.

Now the whole thing could have unforeseen consequences because Roma have contacted Espirito Santo

Claudio Ranieri is stepping down after the current season, and will take on an undefinable advisory role at the club. Roma, who with one game left of the season are just outside Chamion’s League qualification in Serie A, are looking for a new permanent manager.

According to Relevo, Roma have made contact with Nuno Espirito Santo and offered him a two-year contract to continue his career in the Italian capital. The Portuguese is said to be the Serie A club’s first choice in the coaching search.

At first glance, such a deal may seem difficult for Roma to put in place. Espirito Santo has celebrated great successes as manager of Nottingham Forest, and before the final round of the Premier League, the underdog club is fighting for one of the places in the Champions League.

But there is an opening.

Foot Mercato reports that the relationship between Espirito Santo and Nottingham Forest’s owner, Evangelos Marinakis, is strained. For example, the duo got into an argument in public recently. According to sources, it is not ruled out that the successful coach will leave the club after this season due to the clear disagreements with the management.
